THINGS TO KNOW
Everyones brows and skin are different!
Here are some elements to consider, prior to your first
NewBrows Cosmetic Eyebrow Tattoo
Skin Types and Healing
Your individual skin type plays a huge role in your healing process. Oily skin can generally cause pigment to blur faster, while dry skin can sometimes retain pigment too well, and lead to uneven healing. During our consultation, we take into consideration your specific skin type, what you are wanting to achieve and let you know what is achievable. Even through our best efforts, as everyone's skin is different, your skin can react different to what we originally thought!.
This is why we always book a follow up "perfecting" appt, to see how your brows have healed after 4 weeks, and make any adjustments needed, to "perfect" your brows.
Skin Type and Pigment
During consultation, pigment colours are selected taking into consideration your skins natural undertones, your nautral hair colour, eye colour and you skin type (oily, mixed, dry, sensitive, etc)
Sometimes, over time a pigment can be broken down by the body (fade) faster with one colour that another in the body, causing a tone of either reddish, or bluish to appear.
If this happens, contact NewBrows and we can book you in for a quick consult to apply a contrasting colour to replenish your gorgoues natural looking pigment again.
**These appointment will only apply to existing NewBrows clients. If you would like us to colour or shape correct another artists work, please get in contact by know or email to discuss**
Sisters, not twins
The saying goes, "Brows are sisters, not twins!"
Brows are not identical and are naturally made a little different to each other. No one has perfectly symmetrical brows, which we actually love! Each client will have their face and brows mapped and every effort is taken to create as symmetrical brows or ultra-crisp strokes as possible. Sometimes factors like skin texture, facial muscles and you own personal healing may affect the final result, but this will be spoken about in your consultation
PIGMENT FADING
Cosmetic tattooing pigements are designed to be semi permenant, meaning the pigment will breakdown and fade over time. The following things can cause faster pigment break down, potentially causing fading;
Skin Type
Naturally oily skin is very good at rejuvenating skin cells, so pigment will fade faster.
Where as naturally dryer skins will hold pigment for longer periods. Everyone's skin is different and will react differently!
Excessive Sun Exposure
Always wear 50+SPF anyway, but extended sun exposure will fade pigment
Retinol Products
We all LOVE our Retinol products, but pigment doesnt. Retinol primarily works by increasing cell turnover, which helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Retinol can also be used to intentially fade dark spots and sun damage. So, applying Retinol products over your brows, will ultimate breakdown and fade the pigment
